(tritcum sativum) Wheatgerm oil is made from the "germ" of the wheat - the heart of it. The grain consists of three parts - the husk, the germ and the endosperm - and it is the germ that is used in the manufacture of the oil. Has excellent keeping properties. Contains a high vitamin E content for a carrier oil. Richly textured oil high in Vitamin E. Often used on dry, mature skins  The deep colour is caused by the presence of carotenoids, precursors of vitamin A.
